Jonathan Mielke

Jonathan is the 2016 Nebraska PGA Youth Player Development Award winner, a PGA Class “A” Teaching Professional, a US Kids Top 50 Master Instructor, a Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 3 Certified Golf Fitness Instructor, (TPI) Level 3 Junior Golf Coach, Positive Coaching Alliance Double Goal Coach, Certified clubfitter and Titleist Staff Member. His knowledge of swing biomechanics, human motion, tour experience, energy and enthusiasm allows him to help his students find their most efficient manner in which to swing the club. Jonathan is currently the Director of Instruction at the renowned Oak Hills Country Club in Omaha. His design and implementation of the Mielke Junior Golf Academy at Oak Hills Country Club has broken new ground and shed light upon the development of junior golfers through his approach to (LTAD) Long Term Athletic Development.

Joel Kock

Joel Kock is the Executive Director of The First Tee of Omaha, a youth development program with 150+ chapter offices located across the U.S. The First Tee’s nationally acclaimed curriculum delivers both golf and life skills to youth ages 5-18. Nine Core Values and Nine Healthy Habits are worked into activity-based junior golf lessons. Joel has been serving as Executive Director of the Hogan’s Junior Golf Heroes Foundation – The First Tee of Omaha since 2013. The Hogan’s Junior Golf Heroes Foundation was chartered by the World Golf Foundation in 2002 to deliver golf and life skills programming to area youth. Joel is a 1992 graduate of the University of Tulsa with a degree in Business Administration/Marketing. He also had the privilege of enjoying five-plus years in the professional golf arena, competing at multiple PGA Tour Qualifying Schools and earning fully exempt status on the 1995 Hooters Jordan Tour.

Matt Johnson

Originally from Council Bluffs, Matt Johnson, PTA, attended Morningside College in Sioux City. While at Morningside, Matt was a captain for the men’s basketball team and helped lead the team to a No. 1 national ranking in 2007-08. After obtaining his bachelors degree in biology, Matt became assistant coach for the Mustang men’s basketball team, while also completing his Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Associates degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College. Matt has worked as a traveling PTA and has experience in a variety of settings, including inpatient, skilled nursing, aquatic and home health. In addition, he has completed several assignments in various states. In addition, Matt is certified in Graston Technique soft tissue mobilization. In his free time, Matt enjoys sports and actively participates in basketball, golf and running. Let Matt help fix what ails you at the 2017 Nebraska Golf Show!

Paul Murray

Originally from Mason City, Iowa, Paul Murray, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS, attended Iowa State, where he obtained a bachelors degree in exercise science. He then went on to complete the Doctorate of Physical Therapy program at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Paul joined Nebraska Orthopaedic Hospital in 2014. He is board-certified in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and holds certifications from Titleist Performance Institute as a Golf Specialist, and the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Paul leads the NOH Golf program and specializes in sports rehabilitation along lower-extremity injuries, particularly of the foot and ankle. He has experience working with athletes at the high school, college and professional levels, including the NFL, Major League Baseball and the PGA TOUR.

Robert Baber

Robert Baber is the golf manager for the City of Omaha Golf Courses. Prior to working for the City of Omaha Golf Courses, Baber served as PGA professional at Benson Park Golf Course from 2005-2010. In 2015, he was awarded a PGA Player Development Award by the PGA Nebraska Section. Come to the golf show on Saturday to learn from Baber about the importance of buying the proper set of clubs for your young golfer. And be sure to stop by the City of Omaha booth to pick up a free round of golf for every kid in the hall!
